Canadian Auto Performance is proud to introduce the absolute best aluminum X-Brace on the market today for the B8 & B8.5 Audi A4/S4, A5/S5/RS5 & Q5/SQ5 platforms.
The thin stock, OEM steel x-brace leaves much to be desired for car enthusiasts, not providing the best aid in steering feel and handling for the B8/B8.5 chassis vehicles.
Unlike other X-Braces on the market that are not truly one piece, CAP has specifically designed the X-Brace with the best structural integrity, with different designs for the prefacelift B8 platforms and the facelift B8.5 platforms.
Other replacement options are not designed for optimal performance due to their design and more importantly are not thick enough to truly give your vehicle the most out of an X-Brace upgrade. CAP's X-Brace, made of T6-6061 billet aluminum, is 0.75" thick, over 50% thicker than other options on the market, truly providing a significant difference in the steering feel and improved handling departments.
Constructed of billet aluminum, this X-brace provides stiffness and stability to the drivetrain, thus improving steering feel and helping to reduce body roll, making cornering more consistent and predictable.

You read that right! This stiffened up the whole chassis right away. There's a turn just down the street from my house that the SQ5 always felt out of balance on. You turn left over an incline where it immediately becomes a slight decline as you straighten out the wheel. It always felt wonky. This changed that entirely, 100% worth it.
I had the 034Motorsports X-Brace on my 2012 B8 Audi S4 for 4 years and it worked well.
When CAP released this X-Brace, which in comparison is a total “one piece” design unique to the B8 and 50% thicker, I decided to try it out, as handling is very important to me.
What a difference it makes compared to even the upgraded 034 one! Very satisfied.
I track my car in the spring every weekend and it tightens up the front end a LOT on tight corners. 5/5 design, it’s beautiful and it works better than I had thought.
