We have to thank Audi for the design of the OEM cat, compared to the B8/B8.5 S4/S5 platform, replacing cats was a total nightmare on those cars. Although professional install is always recommended, the install time of this downpipe generally only takes around the 2 hour mark.
The removal of factory catalytic converters will trigger a check engine light. Software tunes are recommended to maximize the power gains.

The CAP downpipe is a nice manufactured piece of metal! I choose to get the heat wrap version to help protect the underside of the hood and other engine parts. The install was straight forward once I eventually removed the stock DP (pain in the a$$!) You will have some exhaust smell if you get the catless version but I think it’s worth it with my Stage 2 034 tune. Highly recommended!

Install went smooth if you know what you’re doing. Everything fits together well! For $400 even without a heat shield I recommend it! And if you want to stay cheap and be safe you can do what I did and heat wrap it yourself!
Just had the latest and great hi-flow CAP down pipe installed yesterday. If you research (going back years) the benefits of running the highest volume down pipe (such as faster spool response) seem clear. CAP promises faster spool up, and that's what I 100% notice from a stop. My TTE hybrid turbo feel less laggy and definitely quicker off the light. The quality is solid, and the volume increase compared to my previous performance down pipe is obvious. 5 out 5 stars, would buy again or recommend - especially at this price point.
